I am pleased to be your child’s teacher and look forward to many
productive and creative lessons with them. I hold a Bachelor of Science
in Music Education from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and also a
Masters in Music Education with a concentration in voice from the same
university. Post-graduate work includes a focus in the methodology of Zoltan Kodaly.
My teaching career began 1987 and included teaching elementary, junior high and high school
for eight years in Linton, IN. My main responsibility was the choral program grades 7 - 12. I began
teaching only elementary music in 2002 for MCCSC. I have enjoyed teaching at the following schools since then:
Arlington Heights, Childs, Clear Creek, Fairview, Marlin, Rogers, Templeton, Summit, Tri-North and
University.
My goal for your child will be to help them develop their innate talents and interests within the field of music and
to discover ways with them for music to always be part of their lives. The musical experiences I build
with your child’s play/work within the classroom lays an important lifelong foundation for future growth
in many different areas of their development.
Should you ever need to be in contact with me email is most efficient.
My contact information is: [email protected] or 330-7747, Arlington Heights and
330-7750, Marlin.
